Description
Nuestra Señora de Atocha (also known as “Atocha”) was a 17th century Spanish treasure galleon named after the Basilica of Nuestra Señora de Atocha in Madrid. She served as protection for the Tierra Firme fleet before her destruction by hurricane in September 1622 off the Florida Keys.
The recovery of the cargo has been controversial, with modern-day treasure hunters taking their case all the way to the United States Supreme Court. Their sixteen-and-a-half year effort paid off, as the Nuestra Señora de Atocha was the most valuable shipwreck to be recovered between 1971 and 2015. The most recent discoveries made in the wreck of the Atocha were in June of 2026.
These dice are patterned after the wreckage, found more than 50 feet deep in the waters of the Florida Straits. While tons of gold, silver and emeralds have already been recovered, treasure hunters still search the waters for another sparkle to show.
In dice form, this monumental discovery is represented with a gold numbering and opalescent gold inclusions that sparkle and shimmer their way through a clouded teal-blue watery base, evoking the description given by divers approaching the wreck.
Mysterious and valuable, this set is perfect for players who are just a little obsessed with treasure, discovery, or the romance of shipwreck lore–perfectly suited for a swashbuckler hunting for lost riches, a wanderer searching for something deeply meaningful, or anyone longing to escape winter’s chill for warmer tides.
Each die is hand poured, sanded, polished, and painted with champagne‑gold numbering for warm contrast and easy readability.
